The spread of the coronavirus is a unique situation with consequences that affect our society, and the rest of the world. Regarding teaching format this spring semester 2021, the University of Gävle has taken the decision that programmes will be taught in the announced format, but with adaptations to the pandemic. Course modules that can’t be carried out safely will be taught remotely. Please note a new decision could be made if the situation worsens closer to January 2021.

At the moment, due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 situation, the Introduction day will be will be replaced by a digital introduction. Any changes to the Introduction day will be posted on our website.
Pre-programme activities are scheduled from Monday January 11- January 15 at 9 AM- 3 PM (Swedish time). The activities are important to prepare you for the studies at the MBA programme so please ensure to attend this. Confirmation of attendance to Mr Sonny Jakobsson, Research Assistant at email@example.com before December 19.
It would be good if you can arrive to Gävle on Friday January 8th, to settle down before the activities start.
If you cannot attend the programme introduction session, you need to contact the programme administration in advance at e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are absent from the programme introduction without informing us, you will lose your place on the programme.
Visa application to Sweden can take a long time. To avoid delays you need to apply as soon as possible.
The semester starts on the 18th of January and it is important to participate from the beginning. You must arrive in Gävle and start the programme before February 1st.
Your studies within the programme include four periods as shown in the table beneath. Your academic year will start in January 2021 and end in January 2022, i.e. it lasts over two semesters. 30 credits per semester represent full time studies. The programme as a whole consequently comprises 60 credits. The following courses will be available within your programme.

Below you will find welcome letters for the first courses in the programme. You will find information about course registration, links to the course syllabus and reading list, timetable and more in the welcome letters. These are published at the latest four weeks before the course start date.
You need to apply for accommodation yourself. Please remember to do it in good time before your arrival. The University of Gävle does not provide any student accommodation.
As a student at the University of Gävle you have the opportunity to install
Microsoft Office on up to five computers. The Office package includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Onenote.
The library is located in the middle of campus and is open to everybody. You can reach all digital resources such as e-books and e-journals after logging in with your user account.
At the Student Centre you will meet knowledgeable staff that can assist you in just about anything regarding your studies at the University of Gävle. The Student Centre is located in building 22. You will also find a café in this area and TV displays showing current information and the daily timetabling. Eduroam (EDUcation ROAMing) gives you access to the Internet when you are staying on the University campus. It also provides internet access at other universities and colleges that are connected to eduroam. Eduroam also works at many airports, railway stations and hotels.
