Educational Development Work

The heads of the academies are responsible for the educational activities and the staff's educational skills. The education and research boards should also contribute to the educational development of the higher education institution based on a quality perspective. An administrator works with the general educational development and these assignments include questions about the teaching and learning in higher education, implementation of the educational portfolio and assignments prioritised by the Vice-Chancellor and/or in the management group.

Today, Högskolan i Gävle has a clear ambition and direction for the educational development work and regarding the qualifying teaching and learning in higher education. But questions concerning documentation and assessment of educational qualifications and teaching skills are also high on the agenda. The administrator for educational development (together with representatives from the activities and together with the activities) is therefore responsible for:

developing an educational programme for Högskolan i Gävle
developing guidelines for qualifying teaching and learning in higher education
and for creating a system for documentation and assessment of educational qualifications and teaching skills
