The University's Remote Desktop will be upgraded
During the coming maintenance weekend 14-15th of November, an upgrade of the University's remote desk service, Remote Desktop, will begin.
During the coming maintenance weekend 14-15th of November, an upgrade of the University's remote desk service, Remote Desktop, will begin.
The remote desktop now runs on older systems that need to be upgraded to support modern applications. The upgrade will begin during the maintenance weekend on November 14th-15th. IT estimates that the entire upgrade will take several weeks, but in the meantime, both the current and the new remote desktop will be up and running. The front page of the remote desktop (remote.hig.se) will change and look like the picture. You will be able to choose to move on to the existing or new remote desktop. When the upgrade is complete, you will automatically end up on the new remote desktop.
