Throughout this course the students are able to examine the different ways in which the urban environment is shaped; how form, materials, lighting, and colour affect the appearance of the city, how geographic factors, like solar lighting and topography impact the placing of new buildings, and much more. Designing and visualizing existing and new environments is done using both pencil and digital tools like Sketchup.
